Hanoi-based graphic designer and illustrator Tùng Nâm recently rediscovered a project he created in college called the Endangered Species Stamp Collection. This project, which he made while applying for an internship at a local design agency called Printopia, features 15 species facing extinction. The illustrations were digitally rendered in the blocky low-poly style that was popular in the 2010s.

After stumbling upon the project in his computer files, Nâm decided to touch up the illustrations and share them with the world. The vividly depicted stamps showcase animals like the brilliant Vietnamese pheasant and the jewel-toned Nicobar pigeon. Each stamp includes the scientific name of the creature and the year it was originally named as a species.

Nâm’s work often revolves around the natural world, and he is currently working on a series titled “What if it snows in Hanoi?” Despite Hanoi being a tropical city, Nâm uses his paintbrush and imagination to envision snowfall in his beloved hometown.

The first part of Nâm’s “What if it snows in Hanoi?” series can be found on Behance, and updates on his work can be seen on his Instagram account. His passion for wildlife and nature shines through in his intricate and colorful illustrations.

Overall, Nâm’s Endangered Species Stamp Collection is a stunning reminder of the beauty and fragility of our planet’s wildlife. Through his art, he brings attention to the plight of endangered species and encourages others to appreciate and protect the natural world.
