The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance has announced an early closure on Saturday due to a planned teen “takeover” event at City Park.
Last weekend, a similar event resulted in around 300 teenagers gathering at The Shops at Northfield, causing disturbances and fights, as reported by Denver7.
Authorities are monitoring planned events in the metro Denver area and taking preemptive measures, according to Denver7.
The Denver Zoo will be closing at 1 p.m., and visitors with tickets for later entry are advised to visit in the morning or reschedule by contacting the zoo’s Guest Care department at guestcare@denverzoo.org.
