A shocking incident occurred when a woman posed as a potential buyer for a luxury car, only to steal it and run over the owner in his own driveway. The terrifying ordeal was captured on Ring camera footage, showing the woman arriving at the victim’s Toronto home after expressing interest in purchasing his 2022 Porsche Cayenne listed on Autotrader.
The suspect, described as a South Asian woman, lured the victim outside by claiming she was waiting for her father to arrive to inspect the car. However, once inside the vehicle, she locked the doors and made a daring escape, ramming into the victim and dragging him along the street before fleeing with the stolen Porsche.
The victim suffered injuries to his elbow, hands, and legs as a result of the incident, requiring medical attention. The brazen theft also involved an accomplice who was parked nearby in a gray Bentley Bentayga, further complicating the situation.
The disturbing footage shows the victim attempting to re-enter the car after realizing the doors were locked, only to be struck by the suspect as she sped off. Despite being dragged by the vehicle, the victim managed to get back on his feet and seek help.
Peel Regional Police are currently investigating the incident and seeking information to apprehend the suspects involved in the daytime theft. The shocking nature of the crime serves as a reminder to exercise caution when dealing with potential buyers and to remain vigilant in all transactions, especially when selling high-value items like luxury vehicles.
