Shon McPherson, 34, has been found guilty of first-degree murder for the fatal shootings of Michael David, 43, and Joshua Batts, 39, outside a motorcycle club in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. The incident occurred on November 5, 2023, at the Hell’s Lovers Motorcycle Club, where three others were also injured.
McPherson was convicted of a total of eight charges, including first-degree attempted murder. The Denver District Attorney’s office announced that he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole, with sentencing scheduled for August 11.
Another individual, Todd Washington, 41, was also involved in the shootings, although his current legal status remains unclear. According to the arrest affidavits, Washington and McPherson arrived at the club after Washington’s daughter called him for assistance following an altercation with a security guard. The situation escalated, leading to gunfire that was captured on surveillance cameras.
