BDO, a leading accountancy and business advisory firm, has recently bolstered its tax practice in the UK by welcoming two new partners to its team. David Lewis has been appointed as the Tax Dispute Resolution partner, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in investigative tax. He will be joining BDO’s Private Client Services team in the London office, where he will focus on working with high-net-worth individuals and complex corporate organizations. Prior to joining BDO, Lewis was with Forvis Mazars.

In addition, James Dye has been named as a Tax Partner and will be responsible for expanding the employment tax services in the southern region, with a focus on mid-market companies. Operating out of BDO’s Reading office, Dye brings extensive experience in the Thames Valley and South West regions, having previously worked at Deloitte.

Adam Frais, BDO’s head of Tax, expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, stating that David and James bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm. He emphasized that their addition is part of BDO’s ongoing commitment to investing in talented individuals who can offer a wide range of specialized services.

In a similar move, BDO Australia recently announced the appointment of Hellen Thomas and Nabil Hossain as partners at their Canberra office. These new partners are expected to enhance BDO’s advisory services for public sector clients in the region.

Furthermore, in January 2025, BDO welcomed Daniel Foster as a partner in its Cambridge office. Foster, who previously spent 14 years at EY, including two years as an audit partner, will play a key role in the growth of BDO’s audit team in East Anglia.
