Kareem Rahma is the host of the left-leaning podcast Subway Takes, where he engages with both everyday commuters and celebrities to gather their opinions. Recently, he revealed an intriguing backstory concerning an interview attempt with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, initiated by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) ahead of the 2024 election.
According to Rahma, the interview was so poorly executed that it was ultimately deemed unworthy of release. He expressed a sense of relief over this decision, suggesting he wanted to avoid any potential blame should Harris’s campaign falter—a sentiment that speaks volumes about the current state of political discourse.
This situation sheds light on Harris’s reluctance to appear on the Joe Rogan podcast. Clearly, her team recognized the inherent risks involved; a poorly received episode would be much harder to brush under the rug than a private interview gone awry.
Rahma, who hosts the popular series “Subway Takes,” where he asks commuters and sometimes celebrities their opinions, previously told the New York Times that he conducted an interview with Harris during the summer of 2024, but that it was never released.
In a social media clip featuring an interview with Forbes’ Steven Bertoni, Rahma shared that Harris’s responses were so “bad” that he felt fortunate the content was never published. “Her take was really confusing and weird – not good,” he explained. They ultimately “mutually agreed to not publish it. And I got lucky, because I didn’t want to be blamed for her losing.”
“Her take was that bad?” Bertoni inquired.
“It was really, really bad… it like, didn’t make any sense,” Rahma elaborated, noting that Harris’s take included a baffling assertion that “bacon is a spice.”
As of now, neither Harris nor Rahma has responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comments.
Rahma, who identifies as Muslim, previously mentioned to the New York Times that Harris’s team suggested she might deliver a “hot take” criticizing the practice of removing shoes on airplanes.

It’s quite remarkable that Harris is considering a run for governor of California. One has to wonder—do Democrats genuinely believe her communication skills have improved since this incident?
