For quite some time, Democrats have labeled Republicans as ‘election deniers.’ However, since Trump’s reelection, it appears that many on the left are engaged in a contest to craft the most extravagant conspiracy theories surrounding Trump and electoral processes.
Take Rosie O’Donnell, for instance, who has gone so far as to accuse Elon Musk of orchestrating the theft of the 2024 election for Trump. Meanwhile, political veteran James Carville recently found himself in a fiery exchange with Bill O’Reilly over claims that Trump intends to manipulate the midterms. Now, failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has decided to join the fray.
During her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show with guest host Anthony Anderson, Abrams presented a list of indicators that, according to her, signify a drift toward autocracy. Curiously enough, many items on her list could be seen as reflective of actions taken by her own party. As a grand finale, she proclaimed that Trump would eventually cancel all future elections.
Anderson, it seems, chose to remain a passive observer, allowing Abrams to voice her assertions without any challenge.

She alleged, “You criticize the media, and you create your own echo chamber of propaganda. You call it truth even though you know you’re lying.”
Continuing her self-proclaimed role as democracy’s champion, Abrams defended Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), stating, “Then you go to the next step, and I call that step seven. At this point, you must assign blame—blame for a fractured government and unfulfilled promises. So, you target DEI and any community that doesn’t fit your vision of power.”
As her diatribe progressed, Abrams seemed to forget that history is not a recent invention: “You reach step nine and begin to promote and incentivize private violence. You deploy the U.S. Marines to inappropriate locations, send in the National Guard, and abduct people off the streets while pretending it’s normal. This is how dissent is silenced—by instilling fear that if you don’t comply, you could be next.”
Finally, she concluded, “Once you’ve traversed these nine steps, step ten becomes straightforward. That’s when you determine that new elections will not occur because everyone is either fearful, impoverished, broken, or complicit.”

The mainstream media seems disinclined to address these claims, as it appears Democrats have the liberty to express any outrageous assertions they wish, particularly when targeting Trump.
