The latest leaks of the Google Pixel 10a mid-range smartphone have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. The design seems to be a departure from the Pixel 9a, which may be a relief for those who were not fans of its predecessor’s design.
Just recently, a Pixel 10 Pro prototype was spotted on a Chinese auction site. Alongside this, an “engineering back cover” for the Pixel 10a also made an appearance on the same site. Although the listing is no longer available, a preserved image shows a design that deviates slightly from the Pixel 9a.
The leaked component suggests a repositioning of the flash, indicating a potential change in the camera setup compared to the Pixel 9a. While the image quality leaves much to be desired, if authentic, this could hint at a subtle redesign for the upcoming Pixel 10a.
In terms of design, it seems that Google is sticking to its familiar aesthetic for the Pixel 10 series. The leaked Pixel 10 Pro prototype also hinted at a continuation of the current design language. This suggests that the Pixel 10a may not bring any drastic changes in terms of looks, maintaining a similar appearance to its predecessor.
Despite the lack of significant design changes, the Pixel 9a has been praised for its exceptional camera performance and overall solid performance in the mid-range segment. However, some users were not impressed with its simplistic design, particularly the camera cutout.
