Man Laughs at Cop, Crashes Sports Car

It started as a typical traffic stop in Miami, but it quickly took a turn for the worse for Eduardo Barbaro Gonzalez. The 42-year-old Miami resident found himself in hot water after shouting “Psych!” at a police officer and laughing in his face before fleeing the scene in his Dodge Charger.

The incident unfolded late at night when a Miami officer spotted Gonzalez engaging in what appeared to be a drug deal in a shopping center parking lot. Upon seeing the marked police car, Gonzalez attempted to make a quick getaway in his sports car.

The officer blocked Gonzalez’s path and attempted to speak to him, informing him that he was not free to leave. However, Gonzalez responded by laughing out loud and exclaiming “Hahaha, psych!” as he stepped on the gas and sped off, leaving behind a cloud of smoke from his tires.

Eduardo Barbaro Gonzalez had eight warrants out for his arrest when he crashed.

Just two blocks later, Gonzalez ran a stop sign and crashed his car into an 18-wheeler. Despite attempting to flee on foot, he was quickly apprehended by police due to a leg injury sustained in the crash.

Following the crash, Gonzalez was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he provided authorities with a fake name and birthday. However, his true identity was revealed through fingerprint analysis, which uncovered eight active warrants against him and an ongoing case with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office for fleeing and eluding.

Police observed Gonzalez appear to engage in a hand-to-hand drug deal.
A cop observed Gonzalez appearing to engage in a drug deal outside a shopping center when he tried to stop him.

Gonzalez was subsequently booked into jail and now faces multiple charges, including fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, and probation violations related to aggravated battery, cocaine possession, and grand theft.
