LSU Tigers star Flau’jae Johnson’s mother, Kia Brooks, recently shared her excitement about being involved in the WNBA All-Star weekend. The 42-year-old was featured in a reel posted on Instagram by NIL expert Sam Green and All Things WNBA. Brooks took to her IG story to express her joy, captioning it with “WNBA Allstar weekend was so lit!!” along with fire, heart eyes, and a basketball emoji.

The WNBA All-Star weekend kicked off with New York Liberty’s Natasha Cloud winning the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge, followed by her teammate Sabrina Ionescu’s victory in the WNBA STARRY 3-Point Contest. Team Collier emerged victorious over Team Clark in a competitive game where Caitlin Clark, unfortunately, missed out due to an injury. Despite her absence, Team Collier secured a 151-131 win, with Napheesa Collier breaking the WNBA record for most points in an All-Star Game by scoring 36 points.

Flau’jae Johnson, in a recent appearance on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast hosted by Shannon Sharpe, shared her thoughts on the Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese debate. She mentioned that while the competition was intense, players in the WNBA are focused on their game and not on creating rifts. Johnson will be joined by Grace Knox, ZaKiyah Johnson, Bella Hines, and Divine Bourrage from the Class of 2025 next season.

In other news, the post also highlighted the performance of various players during the WNBA All-Star weekend, including standout performances from players like Kelsey Mitchell, Kayla Thornton, and Gabby Williams. The post was shared on social media platforms, garnering positive feedback and engagement from fans and followers.

Overall, the WNBA All-Star weekend was a thrilling event filled with exciting games and standout performances from talented players. Flau’jae Johnson’s mother, Kia Brooks, expressed her delight at being a part of the event, adding to the overall excitement and energy of the weekend. With the WNBA continuing to grow in popularity and prominence, events like the All-Star weekend play a crucial role in showcasing the talent and skill of women’s basketball players.
