It didn’t have to unfold this way. This critical point should resonate with the American public as we delve deeper into the tangled web of the Epstein files.

The situation escalated when former President Donald Trump instructed his Attorney General to backtrack and declare that no Epstein client list existed, effectively halting any further file releases.

Officially, Trump claims that it was Bondi’s decision to suppress the Epstein files to safeguard the victims and individuals named in the documents from unwarranted speculation. However, it appears Bondi has been cast as Trump’s scapegoat, destined to take the blame for this debacle.

The Wall Street Journal’s recent exposĂ© served as undeniable evidence of a cover-up orchestrated at the White House. This cover-up initiated when Trump directed his administration to retract the Epstein files.

As reported by Politico, even Trump is aware of the impending fallout:

Trump has been contemplating the repercussions of the Epstein scandal for weeks. “They’re going to accuse me of some funny business,” he remarked recently in the Oval Office, according to a Republican insider who overheard the comments. While he tried to distance himself from Epstein’s illicit activities, he lamented: “They’re going to screw me regardless.”

In typical fashion, Trump adopts the role of the aggrieved victim, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he is the architect of this scandal.

During his campaign, Trump promised to release the Epstein files. His administration made commitments to unveil them, but once the president realized the files were a political landmine, they mysteriously vanished.

Trump 2.0 is a diminished version of his previous self.

With term limits looming over him, the clock is ticking, and his influence is steadily waning. Aside from those who fear what he might do with the presidency, Donald Trump is increasingly seen as a fading power.

As the House prepares to hold hearings on the Epstein files this August, expect this scandal to take center stage over the summer.

In this narrative, it’s clear that neither the media nor the Democrats have trapped Donald Trump. He has quite adeptly ensnared himself.
