Cybersecurity Giant Palo Alto Networks to Acquire CyberArk for $25 Billion

In an exciting development, cybersecurity leader Palo Alto Networks has announced its plans to acquire identity management and security firm CyberArk for a whopping $25 billion. This strategic move, a combination of cash and stock, represents Palo Alto’s foray into the realm of identity security, as per a recent press release from the company.

Under the leadership of CEO and chairman Nikesh Arora, Palo Alto has been actively expanding its portfolio through a series of acquisitions. According to the Financial Times, the company has already invested over $7 billion in acquisitions since Arora’s appointment in 2018. The acquisition of CyberArk stands out as the largest deal in Palo Alto’s acquisition spree.

Among the notable acquisitions by Palo Alto Networks are Dig Security, acquired for an estimated $400 million in October 2023; Talon Cyber Security, acquired for an estimated $625 million in November 2023; and Bridgecrew, acquired for $156 million in February 2021, among others.

This acquisition marks one of the most significant cybersecurity deals of 2025, with Google’s acquisition of Wiz in March for $32 billion being the only larger deal thus far.

As of now, Palo Alto Networks has not provided any further comments on the acquisition.
