‘Victim 3’ appealed to the judge for Diddy’s bail.

A letter from a key witness for the prosecution, who has since gone ‘missing’, is unlikely to sway the judge’s decision regarding bail.

In the spotlight of a widely publicized trial, the question of whether Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will secure bail before his scheduled sentencing on October 3 remains contentious. Judge Arun Subramanian has already dismissed four requests for bail, and the likelihood of a change seems slim. However, an unexpected development might just tilt the scales.

Diddy’s former partner, Virginia “Gina” Huynh—who was set to testify under a pseudonym but has since cut ties with the prosecution—penned a letter to the judge advocating for Diddy’s release on bail as he awaits sentencing.

People reported:

“Huynh, identified as ‘Victim-3’ in the indictment against Combs, publicly revealed her identity for the first time and urged the judge to allow Diddy to post bail, asserting that it would enable him to continue supporting his family while remaining under court supervision.”

Judge Subramanian previously denied bail, citing concerns about public safety.

“In her letter submitted by Combs’ defense team on August 3, Huynh expressed that she does not consider him a threat to society and described him as a dedicated ‘family man’ who has not shown violent tendencies in years. ‘It is crucial for the Court to understand who he is beyond the allegations,’ she added.”

“Reflecting on their relationship, Huynh noted, ‘Like many relationships, we faced challenges, but he was willing to take responsibility for his past and make amends. By the end of our time together, he had transformed into a person characterized by love, patience, and gentleness, a stark contrast to his earlier behavior.’”

Huynh emphasized that Diddy has strong connections to his family and community, citing his children who rely on him for both emotional and financial support.

Judge Arun Subramanian will determine Diddy’s pre-sentencing bail status.

“Prior to the start of Combs’ trial, prosecutors informed the court that they had lost contact with Huynh (then referred to only as ‘Victim-3’) and her attorney, which raised concerns about her availability as a witness.”

“Although she was mentioned multiple times in the government’s indictment, Huynh ultimately did not testify during the trial.”
