Platonic season 2 is set to make its highly anticipated return on August 6, 2025, exclusively on Apple TV+. The comedy series, starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as Will and Sylvia, follows the story of two long-time friends navigating the challenges of midlife.

After the success of the first season, Apple TV+ announced the renewal of Platonic for a second season in December 2023. The new season will feature the return of Luke Macfarlane and Carla Gallo, as well as guest appearances from comedy stars Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett.

Unlike some shows that release all episodes at once, Platonic season 2 will follow a weekly release schedule. The first two episodes will premiere on August 6, with a new episode airing every Wednesday until October 1, 2025.

The release schedule for all 10 episodes of Platonic season 2 is as follows:
– Episode 1 & 2: August 6, 2025
– Episode 3: August 13, 2025
– Episode 4: August 20, 2025
– Episode 5: August 27, 2025
– Episode 6: September 3, 2025
– Episode 7: September 10, 2025
– Episode 8: September 17, 2025
– Episode 9: September 24, 2025
– Episode 10: October 1, 2025

All episode titles are currently under wraps and will be revealed closer to their respective air dates.

Platonic season 2 will be available for streaming exclusively on Apple TV+. Subscribers can access the episodes through the Apple TV app on various devices. The platform requires a monthly subscription fee, with new users eligible for a seven-day free trial and those purchasing eligible Apple devices potentially receiving a three-month free subscription.

The second season of Platonic will continue to explore the humorous dynamics of friendship between Sylvia and Will. The show will delve into new challenges at work, weddings, and emotionally, as the two characters navigate the complexities of their relationship.

Returning cast members include Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen, Luke Macfarlane, Carla Gallo, Tre Hale, and Andrew Lopez. Additionally, comedy stars Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett will join the cast in guest roles.

Platonic season 2 is created by Francesca Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller, with Sony Pictures Television and Point Grey Pictures serving as producers. The series maintains its half-hour format, blending sharp comedy with themes of aging and relationships. The creators have confirmed that the show will continue to focus on a strictly platonic male-female friendship without any romantic subplot.

Don’t miss the premiere of Platonic season 2 on August 6, 2025, with new episodes airing weekly on Apple TV+ until October 1. Stay tuned for more updates on this hilarious and heartwarming comedy series.
