Kelly Clarkson has made the difficult decision to postpone her upcoming Las Vegas residency dates, just weeks after canceling the opening night of her “Studio Sessions.” The talented singer took to social media to share the news, revealing that her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is ill and she needs to prioritize being with their children, River and Remington.

In her heartfelt message to fans, Kelly expressed her sincere apologies to everyone who had purchased tickets to the shows. She thanked them for their understanding and support during this challenging time. While the exact nature of Brandon’s illness was not disclosed, Kelly hinted that it has been a prolonged struggle, as he has been unwell for the past year.

TMZ has reached out to Brandon’s company for comment, but has not yet received a response. This latest postponement comes after Kelly shocked fans in July by canceling the opening night of “Studio Sessions” just hours before the show was set to begin. She explained that the intense rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice, and she wanted to rest to ensure that her audience would experience perfect performances.

Despite the setbacks, Kelly remains determined to deliver an unforgettable residency experience for her fans. She originally kicked off her residency at the Colosseum at Caesars on July 11, a week later than planned. The residency was initially scheduled to run until November 15, but LiveNation has rescheduled the shows to July and August 2026.

Fans of the “Breakaway” hitmaker can look forward to experiencing Kelly’s powerhouse vocals and electrifying performances when the residency resumes next year. In the meantime, Kelly is focused on her family and ensuring that Brandon receives the care and support he needs during his illness. We send our thoughts and well wishes to Kelly, Brandon, and their children during this challenging time.
