Dick Van Dyke Skips FanX Event Due to Health Concerns
Following the recent Emmys, beloved actor Dick Van Dyke was unable to attend a FanX event scheduled from September 26 to 29 in Salt Lake City. A statement released on his behalf expressed regret for his absence, citing health reasons: “We are sorry to announce that Dick Van Dyke is not able to travel to FanX. He expresses his gratitude to all of those who continue to support him but, at almost 99 years of age, traveling and interacting with thousands of people is more than he is able to do at this time.”
Fueling concerns for the iconic TV star’s health, Van Dyke was seen looking frail on September 23 as he needed assistance to get to his car, relying on a cane for support. When asked about his upcoming 99th birthday on December 13, Van Dyke candidly admitted, “Just praying that I make it.”
Despite his absence from the FanX event and visible signs of frailty, Dick Van Dyke’s fans continue to shower him with love and support as he navigates his health challenges in his golden years.
