The exhibition kicked off at Macandrew Bay Hall on Thursday and will run until September 28. OpenArts Inc chairman, Roger Weston, shared that approximately 45 artists are participating in the show, presenting around 140 unique pieces across various mediums.
Notable artists featured in the exhibition include Jenny Longstaff, Anne Baldock, Scott Drummond, Lorna Allan, and many more. Weston expressed how the artists enjoy the playful theme that sparks their creativity, resulting in a diverse array of captivating artworks.
The “Now That’s Different” exhibition is divided into four sections: artists experimenting with new concepts, interpreting the “Tall & Thin” theme, a youth section, and displays from Otago Peninsula schools. Weston highlighted the exhibition’s popularity, drawing in 1400 visitors last year, and emphasized the importance of hosting the event in September to avoid conflicting with local elections.
“We invite everyone to come down to Macandrew Bay and immerse themselves in this engaging and dynamic exhibition,” Weston said.
