Chicago police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who allegedly assaulted a man after they both exited a CTA bus in Irving Park last month. The incident occurred on August 15 at around 5:45 p.m. on the 3600 block of West Addison Street. The woman, who had boarded a southbound Red Line train at Morse before transferring to a westbound Addison bus, reportedly attacked the man with a “stick-like object” upon exiting the bus at Addison and Kimball. She then fled the scene on her bicycle heading west on Addison.

Surveillance images released by the Chicago Police Department show the suspect, described as a woman aged between 20 to 35 years old with long dreadlocks. Detectives are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect to contact Detective Ivan Romo at Area Five Violent Crimes via phone at 312-746-6554 or email at ivan.romo@chicagopolice.org. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online at CPDTIP.com under case number JJ-358077.

This incident highlights the importance of public cooperation in solving crimes and ensuring the safety of all community members. The Chicago Police Department relies on the support and vigilance of the public to identify and apprehend suspects involved in criminal activities. By working together, law enforcement and community members can create a safer environment for everyone.
