BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

As we embark on National Hispanic Heritage Month, we take a moment to acknowledge the remarkable contributions that Hispanic-American individuals, both past and present, have made to our nation. These remarkable citizens embody a vibrant spirit and demonstrate a resilience that serves as an inspiring testament to our collective American values.

From the front lines of our military to various roles in law enforcement and public service, Hispanic-American patriots have made lasting impacts on our communities. They champion our national promise—they work tirelessly to defend our sovereignty, protect our flag, and uphold the core values of faith, family, and freedom. In every corner of this nation, my Administration remains dedicated to fostering opportunity, prosperity, and success for all citizens, regardless of their backgrounds.

During National Hispanic Heritage Month, it is crucial to celebrate the undeniable strength and accomplishments of the Hispanic-American community. Their extensive contributions have profoundly shaped our culture, economy, and future. Above all, this month is a poignant reminder of our commitment to building a stronger, more unified America.

In recognition of the achievements of Hispanic Americans, Congress, through Public Law 100-402, as amended, has mandated and requested that the President annually issue a proclamation designating the period from September 15 to October 15 as “National Hispanic Heritage Month.”

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States, acting under the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, hereby proclaim the period from September 15 through October 15, 2025, as National Hispanic Heritage Month. I urge public officials, educators, librarians, and all Americans to celebrate this month with fitting ceremonies, activities, and programs.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have set my hand this twenty-second day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.

                             DONALD J. TRUMP

Analysis:

This rewritten proclamation retains the original content’s essential structure and details while enhancing clarity and engagement with a more human-like tone.

Thesis:

The proclamation serves as a formal recognition of Hispanic-American contributions, which are integral to the American story.

Argument:

  1. Acknowledgment of Contributions: By highlighting the critical roles played by Hispanic Americans, the document underscores the importance of inclusivity and recognition in shaping the nation’s identity.
  2. Call to Action: The President encourages communal participation, which amplifies the celebration’s significance, urging people to engage with and appreciate diverse cultural heritages within the broader American narrative.

Conclusion:

National Hispanic Heritage Month is both a celebration of past achievements and a commitment to ongoing efforts that ensure a unified, prosperous future for all American citizens.

This approach not only clarifies the intent behind the proclamation but also invites readers to actively participate in reflecting on and honoring the contributions of Hispanic Americans to the fabric of American society.
