Hallmark Actor Died After Restaurant ‘Threatened to Arrest’ Patrons Trying to Save His Life During ‘Medical Emergency’, Bombshell Lawsuit Claims

A well-known Hallmark movie star, Michael Heslin, tragically passed away during a birthday celebration in Las Vegas. A new lawsuit indicates that his death might have been avoidable, as reported by RadarOnline.com.

Heslin collapsed at Javier’s restaurant located in the ARIA Hotel on the Strip. He was accompanied by his husband, Scotty Dynamo, and some friends, and the staff allegedly failed to provide adequate assistance during the emergency.

The wrongful death lawsuit filed by Dynamo alleges that the restaurant staff observed Heslin showing “clear indications of a medical crisis” but instead interfered with another diner who attempted to administer CPR. Although the restaurant possessed an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), the lawsuit claims it was never retrieved, and Heslin’s friends were reportedly “removed forcefully” from the premises amidst the chaos.

The legal action cites five counts, including wrongful death, loss of consortium, and gross negligence, alongside claims of negligent hiring and training.

Dynamo claims not only did the restaurant staff obstruct help, but his friends were “threatened with arrest” for trying to rescue Heslin. The lawsuit also notes that employees demanded that patrons delete any recordings they made during the ordeal.

Dynamo seeks over $30,000 in damages, funeral costs, and punitive damages, asserting that Heslin’s death resulted directly from the defendants’ failures.

On July 5, 2025, Dynamo shared on Instagram the heartbreaking news of his husband’s death at the age of 30 due to an “unexpected cardiac event” following a hospital stay. He mentioned Heslin was “young, in perfect health,” and that doctors were baffled by what transpired.

Dynamo lovingly described Heslin as “the sweetest, most caring, and loving man,” who inspired those around him. He added that they were in the early stages of starting a family before the tragedy struck.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help with funeral expenses, raising over $80,000 as of September 22.

Heslin, who tragically passed away, was an organ donor and had built a commendable career since his acting debut in the Showtime series 7 Deadly Sins in 2014. His notable appearances also include roles in the acclaimed Paramount+ series Yellowstone, Hallmark TV movie The Holiday Proposal, and the TVLand series Younger, where he starred alongside Hilary Duff.
