The 41-year-old Duke of Sussex recently engaged in a private session with his father, King Charles, 76, marking their first one-on-one conversation in almost 19 months.

During this pivotal meeting, Harry conveyed remorse for the comments made by him and Meghan, 44, about the royal family since they stepped back from their royal duties in 2020.

According to sources, Harry’s apology was notable as it’s the first time he has acknowledged the impact of their public disclosures on family relations. “This was an emotional exchange,” remarked an insider. “Harry expressed that some of his and Meghan’s statements had caused pain.”

In addition to his meeting with King Charles, Markle also initiated contact with Charles for the first time in nearly two years. This brief communication was reportedly encouraged by Harry, lasting only a few moments but intended as a positive step.

“The call was short yet significant,” an insider commented. “Meghan expressed her desire to mend their relationship with the King.
