The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has gone viral with a Pokémon-inspired video that emphasizes their immigration enforcement efforts.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the video boasts over 37 million views on X. It features federal agents apprehending individuals on U.S. soil as the iconic theme song from the beloved animated series plays in the background.

A line from the song, “I will travel across the land, searching far and wide,” is sung in the video while footage shows individuals being detained.

Requests for comments from the Pokémon Company and Nintendo were not immediately returned as of Tuesday.

Accompanying the video post, the DHS wrote, “Gotta Catch ‘Em All.”

The ending of the video features highlighted individuals labeled as the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s “Worst of the Worst,” creatively shown as Pokémon cards.

Featured on these cards is Nery Garcia Linares, a 32-year-old accused sexual predator from Guatemala, arrested by ICE Newark on September 18, and Moises Lopez-Zepeda, described by DHS as a 44-year-old “criminal alien” from Mexico, taken into custody by ICE Houston on September 19.

Lopez-Zepeda was previously convicted of serious charges, including intoxicated manslaughter in Rockwall County, Texas, which earned him a 12-year prison sentence, as noted by DHS.

Both cards prominently feature a snowflake symbol—presumably representing ICE—as a marker of their “weakness.”
