Anthony Boyle has transitioned from the glittering lights of the West End to a prominent role on popular streaming platforms.
In a candid interview with the U.K.’s The Times in January 2024, Boyle shared his early aspirations, stating, “I just wanted to create. I wanted to write.” Expelled from school at 16, Boyle turned to the internet, searching for “Belfast male acting auditions” and committed himself to every opportunity he encountered.
After establishing himself in theater, Boyle made the jump to screen acting, first gaining attention in a 2014 episode of Game of Thrones. His cinematic journey continued as he portrayed Geoffrey Bache Smith in Tolkien in 2019.
In the 2023 Apple TV+ film Tetris, he shared the screen with Taron Egerton, before taking on the role of Major Harry Crosby in the much-anticipated 2024 miniseries Masters of the Air.
Following a fruitful year, Boyle also featured in the limited series Manhunt, Shardlake, and Say Nothing. By September 2025, he is expected to debut as Arthur Guinness in the eagerly awaited Netflix series House of Guinness.
Reflecting on his artistic journey, Boyle remarked that his stage experience is invaluable, telling The Times, “I learnt to put all my energy into the craft.”
