Joe Biden expressed uncertainty about the peaceful nature of the upcoming election.
Washington:
President Joe Biden expressed doubts on Friday about the upcoming US election in November being peaceful, citing concerns raised by Republican candidate Donald Trump.
“I have confidence that the election will be free and fair. However, I cannot guarantee that it will be peaceful,” Biden stated during a press briefing at the White House.
Reflecting on Trump’s past remarks and behaviors following the previous election, Biden remarked, “The rhetoric and actions of Trump in the past, especially when he disputed the election results, were deeply concerning.”
