Introducing the Future of Personal Hygiene: The Human Washing Machine

Move over cold plunge pools, there’s a new trend on the horizon – human washing machines. According to reports from one of Japan’s oldest newspapers, a shower head maker in Osaka named Science has developed a revolutionary contraption that could change the way we think about hygiene.

The device, known as “Mirai Ningen Sentakuki” or the human washing machine of the future, resembles a cockpit and fills with water when a bather sits in the central seat. Equipped with sensors that monitor the user’s pulse and other biological data, the machine ensures that the water temperature is just right for a refreshing experience. It even projects images on the inside of its transparent cover to enhance the overall feeling of relaxation.

While the company currently has plans to showcase the human washing machine at an expo in Osaka, where visitors can enjoy a 15-minute “wash and dry” session after making a reservation, there are rumors of a potential home-use version in the works. According to earlier literature from Science, the goal of this innovative device is not only to cleanse the body but also to “wash the mind.”
