Kamala Harris Finds Herself Desperate as Trump Takes Lead in Polls
Kamala Harris is feeling the pressure as President Trump surges ahead in the polls. In a recent speech to union members in Lansing, Michigan, Harris took aim at Trump, criticizing his views on the value of workers’ contributions. She accused Trump of belittling the hard work and skill of union workers, contrasting it with his comments comparing their work to that of children.
The Democratic vice presidential candidate also announced a new policy initiative to prioritize skills over degree requirements in federal job assessments. This move echoes a similar executive order signed by President Trump in 2020, aimed at modernizing and reforming the hiring process for federal job candidates. Harris’s adoption of Trump’s policy highlights her struggle to gain traction with voters who may not support her more extreme left-leaning policies.
This isn’t the first time Harris has borrowed ideas from Trump. Earlier this year, she shamelessly copied Trump’s proposal to eliminate taxes on tips, as well as his child tax credit plan. These instances of imitation underscore Harris’s lack of original policy ideas and her reliance on Trump’s successful initiatives.
As the election draws nearer, Harris faces mounting challenges in her campaign. Her attempts to differentiate herself from Trump have largely fallen flat, as evidenced by her repeated borrowing of his policies. Whether Harris can overcome these obstacles and make a compelling case to voters remains to be seen.
