The closure of the beloved New Top Instagram page has left many fashion fans in mourning. The shop, known for its affordable gold jewelry and scene-stealing atmosphere, was a favorite among influential creatives in the city. While the reason for its sudden deactivation remains unknown, Shuai, the owner, expressed her gratitude to loyal customers in an exclusive statement to Vogue.

New Top was a unique gem in the city’s fashion scene, offering a wide range of gold jewelry at competitive prices. Unlike other high-end shops, New Top catered to a diverse clientele, making luxury accessible to all. The shop was not just a place to shop; it was a destination to see and be seen.

Fashion insiders shared their favorite memories of New Top, reminiscing about the personalized service and unique pieces they found there. Liana Satenstein, writer and creator of NeverWorns, praised the shop for its versatility, offering everything from delicate pinky rings to statement gold chains. Designer Kim Shui highlighted the shop’s personalized service, with the owner, Jane, always going above and beyond to find the perfect piece.

Sally Singer, president of Art + Commerce, fondly remembered her visits to New Top, where she would spend hours browsing the vast selection of talismanic jewelry. She described New Top as a true bastion of downtown cool, a place where creativity and individuality thrived.

As the news of New Top’s closure spreads, the fashion community is left mourning the end of an era. The shop may be gone, but its legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to experience its magic. Goodbye, New Top – you will be dearly missed.
