The year 2025 has been a year of reflection and growth in the art world. As an editor at Hyperallergic, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of artists, authors, and poets who have shared their insights and perspectives on the world of art. From exploring the significance of color to delving into the complex histories of Indigenous art, our contributors have challenged and inspired readers to see the world in new ways.

One of the highlights of the past year has been the opportunity to work on pieces that address important social and political issues. From eulogizing a beloved pigment shop to advocating for the preservation of Indigenous art institutions, our writers have used their platforms to speak out against injustice and promote positive change.

In particular, I have been moved by the words of artists like Rose B. Simpson and scholars like Clementine Bordeaux, who have eloquently articulated the importance of supporting and preserving Indigenous art and culture. Their insights have reminded me of the power of art to provoke thought, spark conversation, and drive social change.

Looking ahead to 2026, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for Hyperallergic and the wider art community. As we continue to push the boundaries of art and culture, I invite you to consider supporting our work as a paying member. Your support not only helps us continue our mission of promoting diverse voices in the arts but also allows you to contribute to the conversation and engage with our articles in a meaningful way.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude to all the artists, writers, and readers who have made this past year so memorable. Your creativity, passion, and dedication to the arts inspire us all to dream bigger, think deeper, and create a better world through art. Here’s to a new year filled with art, inspiration, and endless possibilities. Happy New Year!
