Aaron Donald may have retired from the NFL, but a champion discus thrower believes he could still excel in track and field.
TMZ Sports spoke with Reggie Jagers, who represented the U.S. at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, at LAX this month … and he expressed confidence that Donald could make a mark in shot put at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles if he committed to it.
Jagers noted that shot put doesn’t require extensive technique … and considering Donald’s immense strength and the financial resources he has for training, he wouldn’t be surprised if the former Rams star found success in the discipline.
In fact, Jagers offered to assist in training Donald …, sending a message directly to the future Pro Football Hall of Famer while at the airport.
“Aaron Donald, let’s do this,” he said. “I know you’ve just hung up your cleats. But you could have a long career in track and field.”
It’s uncertain if Donald has ever explored shot put … however, it’s clear the 34-year-old remains in peak physical condition. Just look at a workout he shared recently—he appears ready to take down opponents in the NFC West!
