ABC “News” poses as a journalism entity, yet operates more like a partisan advocate for the Democratic Party. For years, the network has specialized in disseminating misleading narratives, engaging in character attacks, and fabricating stories that skew heavily against one political camp. This strategy appears to be part of a calculated effort to undermine President Trump and the millions of voters who supported him across multiple elections.
ABC “News” has cultivated a notable history of promoting inaccuracies, conspiracy theories, and opinions masquerading as journalism:
- Back in 2017, ABC suspended investigative reporter Brian Ross for inaccurately claiming that President Trump instructed Michael Flynn to reach out to Russian officials during the 2016 campaign.
- In 2020, ABC suspended veteran reporter David Wright after he was caught on camera labeling himself a “socialist” and revealing that the network actively promotes an anti-Trump agenda, prioritizing profit over genuine news reporting.
- In 2020, George Stephanopoulos — a former Democratic operative turned would-be journalist — neglected to question Joe Biden about his son Hunter’s controversial laptop or the associated allegations of misconduct.
- In 2024, Stephanopoulos was involved in disseminating falsehoods regarding President Trump’s legal challenges. Following a lawsuit for promoting these defamatory statements, the network settled for $16 million and issued an apology.
- During the presidential debates in October 2024, the network reportedly “fact-checked” President Trump at least five times, while neglecting to question his opponent even once.
- After President Trump’s notable 2024 election win, 90% of the network’s coverage of his cabinet selections was negative.
- In January, ABC News devoted 27 times more coverage to President Trump’s pardons for January 6 defendants compared to Biden’s last-minute pardons for his family members embroiled in scandal.
- In January, ABC News characterized President Trump’s personnel changes as “retribution” in a clearly partisan editorial.
- In February, ABC News misrepresented the Trump Administration’s initiatives to root out inefficiencies in federal programs as an “attack on veterans.”
- In April, ABC News perpetuated the debunked claim that the Trump Administration was indiscriminately deporting U.S. citizen infants.
- In June, senior correspondent Terry Moran defamed White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller as a “world-class hater,” reflecting a pattern of obvious liberal bias throughout his reporting career.
- In June, ABC News aired a segment on a so-called “violent Border Patrol detention,” omitting critical context that the individual in question had been pursuing federal agents with a weed whacker.
- In June, ABC News lauded violent rioters in Los Angeles for their “self-policing” efforts while businesses and properties suffered losses, all while criticizing President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard.
- In July, during special coverage of the One Big Beautiful Bill signing, ABC News falsely asserted that the legislation primarily benefited “the wealthiest Americans” and echoed the debunked claim that millions would “lose their healthcare.”
- In July, the network ignored the Office of National Intelligence’s announcement regarding a significant investigation into the politicization of intelligence assessments during the Obama administration.
- In July, ABC News downplayed the MS-13 gang — notorious for its motto, “kill, rape, control” — referring to it as merely a “clique.”
- In September, Stephanopoulos repeatedly and inaccurately claimed that fatalities resulted from the Trump Administration’s decision to close a bloated, inefficient federal agency.
