Accused Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Facing Seventh Murder Charge
Accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann is set to be charged with a seventh murder, as police sources have revealed that he will face allegations in connection with the November 2000 death of Valerie Mack. Mack’s remains were found in Gilgo Beach and Manorville, and her parents are expected to be present at Heuermann’s arraignment on the new charge.
Prosecutors identified Heuermann, 60, as a suspect in Mack’s death back in June, citing evidence such as detailed notes on serial killings that were discovered at his Massapequa Park residence.
Heuermann had previously pleaded not guilty to charges related to the murders of six other women whose remains were discovered in the vicinity of Gilgo Beach and other areas in eastern Long Island.
