MS NOW and CNBC Partner with AccuWeather for Enhanced Weather Reporting

MS NOW and CNBC, renowned for their coverage of political and financial news, are now expanding their reach into weather reporting. The two networks, which are part of Versant, a company soon to be spun off from NBCUniversal, have recently entered into a multi-year agreement with AccuWeather to utilize their weather forecasts and data.

AccuWeather’s comprehensive and accurate weather data will now be integrated into MS NOW and CNBC’s daily programming, including segments on popular shows like “Morning Joe” and “Squawk Box.”

Scott Matthews, senior vice president of newsgathering at MS NOW, expressed confidence in AccuWeather’s ability to provide top-quality data and reporting to their audiences, especially during a time of unprecedented weather events.

As part of their efforts to enhance their weather reporting capabilities, MS NOW has brought on board David Parkinson as a senior weather and elections data analyst, and Moses Small as a climate reporter. Parkinson, previously with CBS News, and Small, formerly with Scripps’ KGTV in San Diego, will collaborate with AccuWeather’s expert meteorologists to deliver accurate forecasts across Versant networks.

Steven R. Smith, CEO of AccuWeather, highlighted the impact of this partnership, stating that their forecasts with proven Superior Accuracy will now reach millions more viewers through this multi-year deal across various platforms.

With the rebranding of MSNBC to MS NOW on November 15, viewers can expect a more comprehensive and reliable weather reporting experience, thanks to the collaboration between these media giants and AccuWeather.
