Adam Lippes Unveils Sporty and Sexy Pre-Fall Collection
Adam Lippes is known for his love of flowers, labradoodles, and impeccably designed interiors. However, his passion for fine automobiles has been a hidden trait until now. For his pre-fall collection, Lippes has drawn inspiration from his love of cars, creating a lineup that is sportier, more streamlined, and sexier than his usual offerings. Describing it as a collection for “short, hot nights,” Lippes has taken a bold new direction.
Gone are the floral prints that are synonymous with Lippes’ designs. Instead, he has opted for bold Grand Prix–inspired stripes, seen on pieces like a silk taffeta funnel-neck anorak and a matching midi skirt. Mini-length skirts take center stage in this collection, crafted from luxurious materials like glossy black lambskin and wool gabardine reminiscent of luxury car interiors. Racing-car red makes an appearance on a drop stitch knit dress and a skin-baring bodysuit, adding a touch of drama.
Known for his event dresses, Lippes delivers standout top-and-pants sets for summer occasions. Whether it’s a sheer plissé ensemble or a racer-back trapeze top paired with fuller trousers, Lippes’ designs exude confidence and sophistication. “Drive,” she said.
