Adam Pally, known for his roles in “Happy Endings” and “The Mindy Project,” has landed the lead role in a new comedy series titled “The Sanctuary.” The show is a collaboration between L.A.-based producers Happy Accidents, New Zealand’s Kevin & Co., and Warner Bros. Discovery’s New Zealand division.
In “The Sanctuary,” Pally will portray an eccentric American billionaire who is on the run from the law in New Zealand. To avoid extradition, he is compelled to transform his extravagant private island into a Department of Conservation sanctuary.
The series, created by Joseph Moore and Laura Daniel, consists of eight episodes and will air in New Zealand on Sky’s Three network and stream on ThreeNow. While there is no news yet on distribution in the U.S., Pally’s involvement in the project is sure to draw a lot of attention.
Aside from his work on “Happy Endings” and “The Mindy Project,” Pally has also appeared in shows like “Making History” and “Indebted.” He has demonstrated his talent not only as an actor but also as an executive producer on Comedy Central’s “The President Show.”
Pally recently released his comedy special, “An Intimate Evening With Adam Pally,” on HBO and starred in the Peacock series “Mr. Throwback,” which he also produced. His diverse acting credits include roles in films like the “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise, “Who Invited Charlie?,” and “The Main Event.”
Upcoming projects for Pally include a role in Sam Mendes’ “The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event” and appearances in films like “O Horizon,” “Run,” and “What the Fck Is My Password.”
Happy Accidents, co-founded by Holly A. Hines and Eric Jarboe, and Kevin & Co., known for their work on “Taskmaster NZ,” are the production companies behind “The Sanctuary.” With Pally’s star power and the creative team behind the series, it is sure to be a hit with audiences.
