Adam Schenk secured his first-ever PGA Tour victory in his 243rd start at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in 2025. The 33-year-old golfer put on a stellar performance with a bogey-free 4-under 67 on Saturday, followed by an even-par 71 in the final round to clinch the win. This victory propelled the Indiana native to 67th place in the FedExCup Fall rankings, a significant jump from his previous position.

Before the start of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, Schenk was languishing at 139th place in the FedEx Fall standings, just two weeks away from heading back to Q-school. With a ranking of 134 in the FedEx Cup, Schenk was on the verge of returning to the Korn Ferry Tour for the next season. However, his triumph at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton propelled him to 67th place, ensuring he avoided a demotion to the Korn Ferry Tour.

Following his breakthrough win, Schenk has expressed his full commitment to participating in The RSM Classic at the Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island. When asked about his decision to play at The RSM Classic, Schenk confidently stated, “I’m playing,” showcasing his determination to continue his winning momentum.

Unlike many PGA Tour winners who choose to skip events after a victory, Schenk opted to compete in The RSM Classic. He, along with fellow golfers Ben Kohles, Grayson Sigg, and Braden Thornberry, decided to forgo a lavish celebration and caught a night flight out of Bermuda. This display of dedication and focus highlights Schenk’s professionalism and commitment to his craft.

In a post-victory interview, Adam Schenk revealed that he is relieved to have avoided the dreaded Q-school and is now focused on climbing into the top-60 rankings with a strong performance in Georgia. The champion golfer admitted that he did not sign up for Q-School this year, citing the time spent away from his family as a major factor in his decision.

Schenk emphasized the importance of family and expressed his reluctance to be away from his wife, two sons, and the golf farm where he practices. He acknowledged that winning the tournament was fantastic but avoiding Q-School was a significant relief. The golfer’s rise from 246th to 132nd in the Official World Golf Ranking after the Butterfield Bermuda Championship win underscores the impact of his victory on his career trajectory.

Despite facing challenges throughout the season, including 15 missed cuts in 28 outings and 8 missed cuts in his last 14 starts, Adam Schenk’s resilience and determination have ultimately paid off with his maiden PGA Tour title. As he sets his sights on future competitions, Schenk’s unwavering passion for golf and commitment to success will undoubtedly propel him to greater heights in the sport.

In conclusion, Adam Schenk’s triumph at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship marks a significant milestone in his career, solidifying his status as a rising star in the world of golf. His perseverance, grit, and unwavering dedication serve as an inspiration to aspiring golfers and fans worldwide. With The RSM Classic on the horizon, Schenk’s fans eagerly anticipate his continued success on the PGA Tour.
