The Los Angeles Dodgers have made history by winning back-to-back championships, and utility star Kike Hernandez is not shying away from addressing the critics. During the World Series celebrations at Dodger Stadium, Hernandez took a playful jab at Canadian singer and Toronto Blue Jays fan Drake, referencing the rapper’s famous phrase “October’s very own.”

Fans were quick to react to Hernandez’s sassy comment, with some pointing out Drake’s recent string of bad luck when it comes to major league sports. One fan humorously remarked, “Add that one to the list of L’s Drake has been taking lately.” Another fan noted, “Thank you Drake, your curse in major league sports continues.”

The banter continued as fans speculated on which musician would face the heat at next year’s celebration, with one fan joking, “Fat Joe last year, Drake this year. What musician is gonna get the heat at next year’s celebration 😭.”

Drake had previously trolled Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani after the two-way phenom struck out swinging against Blue Jays rookie sensation Trey Yesavage in World Series Game 5. The playful back-and-forth between Drake and the Dodgers added an extra layer of excitement to the championship celebrations.

However, not everyone was pleased with the outcome of the World Series. Blue Jays analyst Caleb Joseph stirred controversy by claiming that the “better team did not win this series.” Hernandez wasted no time in responding to Joseph’s comments, sarcastically writing on his Instagram story, “I’M SO HAPPY THE BETTER TEAM DIDN’T WIN!!”

Despite the Blue Jays’ strong performance throughout the series, the Dodgers managed to secure a 5-4 win in Game 7, clinching their second consecutive championship. Hernandez’s witty retort to Joseph’s remarks added a touch of humor to the post-game discussions.
