Following a series of unfortunate events, top AEW stars found themselves in a position where they had to vacate their titles. With the championship belts now up for grabs, a highly anticipated match has been announced to crown the new champions.
La Faccion Ingobernables (LFI) made history by winning the ROH Tag Team titles at Death Before Dishonor in August. However, their joy was short-lived as Dustin Rhodes had to relinquish the titles due to injury. This led to Sammy Guevara being tasked with choosing a new partner, and he ultimately turned on the Sons of Texas to team up with Rush, leading to a successful title defense.
Unfortunately, lightning struck twice for Guevara as Rush sustained an injury, forcing the titles to be vacated once again. Guevara will now have to find a new partner in The Beast Mortos to challenge the duo of Tommy Billington and Adam Priest for the ROH Tag Team Championship at Final Battle next week.
Billington and Priest have proven themselves in both ROH and AEW, but Guevara and Mortos are confident in their abilities as they prepare for the upcoming showdown. They have expressed their determination to retain the gold and continue LFI’s dominance in the tag team division.
In another twist, El Toro Blanco’s scheduled match against Bandido for the ROH World Championship has been changed due to El Toro Blanco’s knee injury. The match has now been transformed into a Survival of the Fittest match, where Bandido will defend his title against a lineup of top AEW stars including Komander, Sammy Guevara, Hechicero, Blake Christian, and The Beast Mortos. The final survivor will be crowned as the champion, adding an element of unpredictability to the title bout.
With the possibility of LFI leaving Final Battle with all the gold, the stakes have never been higher for these AEW superstars. Fans can expect an action-packed event as the new champions are crowned and rivalries reach new heights.
