Since its establishment in 2019 by Tony Khan and a select group of top wrestlers, AEW has emerged as a leading wrestling promotion in the industry. Based in Jacksonville, the company has positioned itself as a rival to the WWE, adopting unique creative approaches that have driven its success over the past seven years.
From its inception, AEW has embraced collaboration with other wrestling promotions. This strategy has led to partnerships with organizations like New Japan Pro Wrestling and CMLL. Under Tony Khan’s leadership, AEW frequently allows its wrestlers to compete in various promotions, featuring talents such as Will Ospreay, Mercedes Mone, and The Young Bucks.
As a result of these collaborations, several AEW wrestlers have signed dual contracts with other wrestling organizations. Here are six individuals from All Elite Wrestling currently engaged in such agreements.
Thunder Rosa
Thunder Rosa is a standout talent nurtured within the All Elite Wrestling roster. She began her wrestling journey in 2014, and her remarkable performances on the independent circuit secured her a spot in Tony Khan’s company in 2019. Over the years, La Mera Mera has been a pivotal figure in the women’s division, delivering memorable matches against stars like Britt Baker, Toni Storm, and Jamie Hayter. Notably, she has held the AEW Women’s World Championship once. In June 2025, Thunder Rosa debuted in CMLL, facing La Jarochita at Fantastica Mania Mexico. Her appearances continued throughout the year, and on April 3, 2026, she was officially announced to have a dual contract with CMLL and AEW, following a trios match victory alongside India Sioux and Marcela against Olympia, Persephone, and Princesa Sugehit.
Persphone
Persphone has been a dynamic addition to the CMLL women’s division since 2023. She later began appearing in All Elite Wrestling under Tony Khan’s leadership, making her debut in the sister promotion Ring of Honor in July 2025. Persphone participated in a Worldwide Women’s Wild Card four-way match for the interim ROH Women’s World Television Championship at the Supercard of Honor event. Subsequently, she wrestled more frequently for AEW, with a standout performance in a four-way match for the TBS Championship at the 2025 Forbidden Door pay-per-view, representing CMLL. At the beginning of 2026, she announced via CMLL’s weekly magazine show Informa that she held a dual contract with AEW and CMLL.
Hechicero
Hechicero is a seasoned wrestler representing both AEW and CMLL through a dual contract. He has been active in wrestling since 2001, primarily in the Mexican circuit and at times in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He gained widespread recognition in All Elite Wrestling starting in 2024. Currently, Hechicero is part of the notorious faction, The Don Callis Family, capturing significant audience interest. He has participated in numerous high-profile matches for AEW. On September 9, Hechicero confirmed in an interview with FOX Sports Mexico that he signed a multi-year deal with AEW while retaining his CMLL contract.
Mascara Dorada
Mascara Dorada is a promising talent on AEW’s active roster, hailing from a family of wrestlers in Mexico. The 24-year-old gained recognition through his performances in CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Alongside Hechicero, MĂstico, and Volador Jr., Dorada debuted on AEW’s Dynamite on January 31, 2024. In the same interview as Hechicero, Dorada revealed his dual contract status with AEW and CMLL.
Mistico
Mistico is a legendary figure in Mexican professional wrestling. His success led to a WWE contract in 2011, though his tenure as Sin Cara was underwhelming, resulting in a return to the independent scene. As noted earlier, he debuted in AEW and continued to make frequent in-ring appearances. After teaming with JetSpeed to win the AEW World Trios Championships from The Don Callis Family at the 2026 Revolution, it was announced that Mistico was officially part of AEW, holding a dual contract with AEW and CMLL.
Claudio Castagnoli
Claudio Castagnoli, known as Cesaro in WWE, gained fame as a prominent figure in the organization. Despite his popularity and potential, he departed from WWE in 2022, making a surprise debut in AEW. Throughout his AEW career, he has participated in significant matches and regularly appeared on television as a member of The Death Riders. In March 2024, he debuted in CMLL and eventually became the CMLL World Champion by defeating Gran Guerrero in November 2025. Two years after his initial appearance, it was announced that Castagnoli had a dual contract with CMLL and AEW.
