The group was spotted in New Orleans ahead of the Eagles’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
This isn’t the first time there has been an Eagles fandom crossover between the two shows. In November 2024, Brunson and McElhenney appeared in a promo together, showing their support for the Eagles.
The casts of both shows recently filmed the first of two crossover episodes, with Abbott star Lisa Ann Walter teasing that there will be plenty of foolishness and shenanigans. She mentioned that the guest stars from “It’s Always Sunny” brought a lot of fun to the set and that they enjoyed chatting outside of their characters.
Walter also revealed that Brunson, the creator of “Abbott Elementary,” keeps the cast members guessing about their character storylines, adding to the excitement of the crossover episodes.
Both “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Abbott Elementary” are set in Philadelphia, with the former following a group of friends and bar owners and the latter focusing on the teachers and students at a fictional school.
In January, several cast members from “It’s Always Sunny” made a special appearance on “Abbott Elementary,” and the Abbott cast is set to appear on “Sunny” in the future.
In an interview last year, Brunson expressed her excitement about the crossover, believing it will be a delight for fans of both shows. She emphasized that the crossover will bring excitement to viewers who watch one show but not the other.
