Anthropic, a company backed by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), has recently unveiled its most advanced AI models to date: Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. These cutting-edge models are being hailed as the new gold standard in AI technology, boasting the ability to autonomously complete full workdays, generate human-level content, analyze vast datasets, and tackle complex tasks across research, coding, and content creation.

Claude Opus 4, in particular, has been labeled as the “best coding model in the world,” offering nearly seven hours of autonomous agent work that combines tool use and reasoning. This model is capable of adapting, learning from files, and accumulating knowledge over time. Additionally, both Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4 provide real-time web search capabilities to seamlessly fulfill user tasks.

This significant development marks a pivotal shift for Anthropic, as they transition from chatbot development to focusing on intelligent agent performance. Chief Science Officer Jared Kaplan highlighted the rigorous development process and the models’ significant advancements in agentic behavior and software engineering capabilities.

Chief Product Officer Mike Krieger noted that Claude now surpasses his own writing abilities. As a result of these advancements, Anthropic’s annualized revenue has skyrocketed to $2 billion, doubling from the previous quarter. The company has also seen a substantial increase in high-value enterprise clients spending over $100,000, with numbers surging eightfold.

With a fresh $2.5 billion credit line, Anthropic, supported by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), is ramping up its position in the AI arms race and establishing a new benchmark in artificial intelligence.

While the potential for growth in AMZN is acknowledged, some believe that other AI stocks may offer greater promise for higher returns with limited downside risk. For those seeking a more promising AI stock with potential for 100x upside gains, a report on the “cheapest AI stock” is recommended.
