Kristin Dolan has committed to leading AMC Networks as its CEO for a further three years.

The media organization announced a fresh employment contract with Dolan that will be in effect from October 9, 2025, until December 31, 2028. Her base salary will be $2 million annually until April 1, 2026, after which it will rise to $2.1 million. Additionally, the contract includes a target annual bonus that could equal at least three times her salary for the year.

Dolan will also continue to earn annual cash and/or stock grants. For the years 2026 through 2028, it is anticipated that she will receive grants totaling an annual target value of at least $8 million. She has been awarded a notable one-time cash performance bonus valued at $3 million and will receive a signing bonus of $150,000, as disclosed in AMC Networks’ recent SEC filing.

In a remark, AMC Networks chairman James Dolan (Kristin’s husband) stated, “Kristin has excelled in guiding AMC Networks through this transformative period and brings an operational expertise that perfectly fits this position. Her commitment to partnerships, profitability, and technology has paved a distinct roadmap for our future. We eagerly anticipate her continued strategic leadership and the management of our company’s valuable content and brands.”

As per the company, Kristin Dolan has accelerated AMC Networks’ evolution from a cable programming service towards distributing its content across multiple platforms, including traditional TV, subscription streaming services, and over 20 FAST (free, ad-supported television) channels.

Dolan took on the CEO position at AMC Networks in February 2023, overseeing the company’s diverse cable networks—AMC, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and We TV—as well as streaming services like AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK, and HIDIVE; film distribution arms Independent Film Company and RLJE Films; AMC Studios, the in-house studio, production and distribution branch; and AMC Networks International, which handles international programming.

Before her tenure at AMC Networks, Dolan founded and served as CEO of 605, a data analytics and audience measurement firm established in 2016. Prior to that, she worked for 16 years at Cablevision Systems, now part of Altice USA, including her role as chief operating officer. Dolan was integral to the leadership team that facilitated Cablevision’s 2016 acquisition by Altice USA for $17.7 billion and managed the ensuing transition.

Dolan’s earlier experience includes various marketing roles at AMC Networks (previously known as Rainbow Media), specifically in affiliate marketing and distribution, where she began her journey in the media industry back in 1989.

Dolan also serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including NCTA – the Internet & Television Association (and the NCTA Education Foundation), the Paley Center for Media, The Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center, Sphere Entertainment, and Wendy’s. Additionally, she is involved with the president’s council at the University at Albany and Pace University.
