Amy Poehler is set to launch a brand new podcast in collaboration with Spotify and Bill Simmons’ The Ringer. Titled “Good Hang with Amy Poehler,” the weekly video series is scheduled to debut on Spotify in March. The show will feature Poehler engaging in candid conversations with famous guests about what makes them laugh, their recent funny experiences, and much more. Additionally, she will also chat with her friends and family to share what tickles her funny bone and gather questions for upcoming podcast guests.
Expressing her excitement about the upcoming project, Poehler stated, “I am so excited Spotify and Bill are welcoming me. I can’t wait to have some good, dumb fun.” The podcast is a joint production between Spotify’s The Ringer and Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions, with Poehler and Simmons serving as executive producers alongside Jenna Weiss-Berman, the head of Paper Kite Audio.
Bill Simmons praised Poehler’s talents, stating, “Amy should have one of the biggest podcasts in the world — she’s a great hang, she’s funny, she’s curious, she knows everybody, and she actually loves the genre and puts real thought into what works and what doesn’t work. It’s amazing. I can’t believe she actually wants to do this. We are over the moon that we get to work with her.”
Amy Poehler is a highly acclaimed comedian known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” and the beloved comedy series “Parks and Recreation.” Through Paper Kite Productions, she has also been involved in the scripted comedy podcast “Say More with Dr?
