The Quick Settings feature, known for its customization options, has traditionally been limited to adjusting the selection and order of tiles, with its overall layout remaining fixed.
Nevertheless, according to 9to5Google, early testers of Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 have discovered a new feature that allows users to rearrange the three main sections of the menu.
If this feature is included in the final version, it will offer Pixel phone users a level of customization previously unavailable, enhancing the convenience of Quick Settings for daily activities.
Three sections can be rearranged
Users will be able to rearrange three essential components of the expanded Quick Settings:
- Brightness slider
- Quick Settings tiles
- Permanent media player
These components can be repositioned using a drag-and-drop method, offering six different layout possibilities.
For instance, those who often manage music or podcasts might choose to place the media player at the top. Others might prefer prioritizing the Quick Settings or the brightness slider.
