The OKC Thunder continued their dominant run in the Western Conference finals, securing a convincing 118-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, fresh off being named MVP, showcased his talents with a stellar performance, leading all scorers with 38 points and eight assists. On the other side, Anthony Edwards put up a fight for the Timberwolves with 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the game, with some criticizing the Timberwolves while others praised Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder for their performance. The victory puts OKC in a commanding 2-0 lead in the series, leaving Minnesota with an uphill battle to climb.

In addition to Gilgeous-Alexander’s standout performance, his teammates Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren also made significant contributions to the win. Williams recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, showcasing his skills on both ends of the court. Holmgren added 22 points and provided solid defense alongside Isaiah Hartenstein.

On the other hand, Julius Randle struggled for the Timberwolves, managing just six points on 11 shots. Jaden McDaniels contributed 22 points, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Naz Reid provided a spark off the bench with a combined 27 points.

The Thunder once again dominated the paint, outscoring the Wolves 58-44 and holding a significant advantage in fastbreak points. With Game 3 set to take place in Minnesota, the Thunder look to extend their lead in the series and inch closer to a spot in the NBA Finals.

Overall, the combination of Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP-caliber performance and strong support from his teammates has put the Thunder in a favorable position in the series. Fans can expect an intense battle in Game 3 as both teams look to make their mark in the Western Conference finals.
