10:03 AM PST — According to Belton police, Rudy Youngblood was taken into custody on Tuesday after a police officer approached the owner of a car parked near the Lake Belton boat ramp around 12:20 AM.
During the interaction, law enforcement discovered an outstanding warrant from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office for Youngblood’s arrest related to assaulting a household or family member by obstructing their breathing.
Additionally, a white crystalline substance was found on the actor at the time of his arrest. He is currently held in Bell County Jail, facing further charges pending lab analysis outcomes.
Rudy Youngblood, recognized primarily for his role in Mel Gibson’s Oscar-nominated film “Apocalypto,” was apprehended for reportedly committing a violent act against an intimate partner, as stated by the authorities.
The arrest followed an incident in Texas early Tuesday morning when he allegedly assaulted an intimate partner by obstructing their ability to breathe, according to the police report.
He is being held at the Bell County Jail with a bail set at $20,000.
TMZ has contacted the Belton Police Department for further details, but has yet to receive a response.
This marks not his first legal issue, as reports from 2017 indicated Rudy was previously arrested for disorderly intoxication in Miami, though charges were later dismissed.
Besides his prominent role in the 2006 film “Apocalypto” as Jaguar Paw, Rudy has also appeared in projects like “The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine” (2023) and “Dandelion Season” (2021).
This year, he was cast as the lead in the upcoming period drama “La Matadora,” which is in pre-production, along with five other projects at various stages of development.
