Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of “Silo,” based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy of dystopian sci-fi novels. The second season is set to premiere on November 15, with new episodes airing every Friday until January 17.

The official logline for “Silo” reads, “‘Silo’ is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built, and those who dare to uncover the truth face fatal consequences.” Rebecca Ferguson takes on the lead role of Juliette, an engineer who embarks on a quest to solve a loved one’s murder and stumbles upon a mystery that goes deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to a chilling revelation that the truth may be more lethal than the lies.

Joining the Season 2 cast is Steve Zahn, who stars alongside Ferguson, Tim Robbins, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.

“Silo” is a production of Apple Studios for Apple TV+, with an impressive lineup of executive producers including series creator and showrunner Graham Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Rebecca Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Hugh Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios.

In addition to the exciting release of the “Silo” Season 2 trailer, Point Road Productions has announced the premiere of their documentary “The Last Amateur,” formerly titled “Nothing But Net,” at Doc LA on October 19th. The documentary delves into the story of University of Kansas 5-star basketball recruit Silvio De Sousa, an Angolan native who navigates the challenges of being a foreign Black man in NCAA college basketball and the U.S. justice system. The film follows his journey from being embroiled in controversy for receiving funds from Adidas to fighting to clear his name and return to the game he loves.

Directed, written, and produced by Billy Raftery, “The Last Amateur” features NBA superstar Kevin Garnett and college basketball personality Jay Bilas as guides through De Sousa’s tumultuous experience. Executive producers include Garnett, John Sloss, Marc Levin, Mike Marangu, Todd Stiefel, Taylor Materne, Josh Foster, Anthony Killough, and Reuben Schatz.

With both “Silo” Season 2 and “The Last Amateur” documentary set to captivate audiences, fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of thought-provoking and thrilling content. Watch the trailers for both below for a sneak peek into these compelling stories.
