Apple Delays Release of AI-Powered Siri Update

Apple has been teasing a new and improved, cutting-edge, AI-powered Siri since the introduction of Apple Intelligence in 2024. However, the release date for this highly-anticipated update has been continuously pushed back over the past year and a half. According to a recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, it seems like we will have to wait even longer for the new Siri.

The new Siri was initially expected to launch alongside the upcoming iOS 26.4 update in March. However, due to challenges faced during internal testing, the rollout of the new features will now happen gradually over time. Some features may not be available until the May iOS update, or possibly even the release of iOS 27 in September.

It appears that Apple encountered issues during the testing phase of the software, leading to further delays in the launch date. The company is working to ensure that the new Siri experience meets the high standards expected by users.

The upcoming changes are rumored to transform Siri into a more advanced digital assistant, similar to the popular LLM chatbots that have gained popularity in the tech industry. Users will be able to interact with Siri using natural language, powered by Google Gemini technology.

Despite the setbacks, Apple is dedicated to delivering a revamped Siri experience that will revolutionize the way users interact with their devices. The product managers behind Siri are working tirelessly to overcome any obstacles and ensure a successful launch.
