Fortiche, the renowned animation studio responsible for the worldwide success of Netflix’s “Arcane,” is making significant changes to its leadership team as it embarks on a new phase of growth and expansion to manage a growing slate of projects.
After the immense success of “Arcane,” the series based on “League of Legends” produced in collaboration with Riot Games, Fortiche is looking to broaden its creative horizons and diversify its production offerings. To support this strategic shift, the studio has brought on board three key executives to strengthen its management team.
Cécile Hergaux Essame has been appointed as the head of productions. With almost 25 years of experience in the animation industry, she will be responsible for overseeing production activities across Fortiche’s studios in Paris, Montpellier, and Las Palmas. Her role will be pivotal in managing the studio’s transition towards handling multiple projects concurrently.
Christine Ponzevera, who previously served as the producer of “Arcane” Season 2 and the shorts “Blood, Sweat and Tears” and “Welcome to Noxus,” has now taken on the role of head of content and executive producer. In the past year, she has led the development of all film and TV projects in collaboration with Riot Games, strengthening the studio’s flagship partnership.
Joining Fortiche as a producer focused on delegated production and forging new collaborations is Marion Delord. With 15 years of experience in production and distribution, she will play a key role in developing original content like the upcoming feature film “Penelope of Sparta” while also spearheading new strategic alliances for the studio.
Renowned for its distinctive visual style and groundbreaking storytelling, Fortiche remains deeply connected to Riot Games while exploring new avenues for creative expression.
