The recent veto by Arizona’s Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs has sparked significant controversy, as she rejected a bill designed to prevent the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from acquiring land adjacent to critical military installations. One must ponder: whose interests is she championing?
This development raises eyebrows about the Democratic Party’s commitment to national security, as it appears they are not united on a fundamental issue: whether it’s wise to let China purchase land so close to American defense infrastructure. What is happening here?

Democratic Governor Faces Backlash After Vetoing Bill to Limit Chinese Land Ownership Near Military Bases
Arizona Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs, who is gearing up for reelection next year, faced intense criticism after vetoing a bill aimed at blocking China from buying land next to strategic military assets.
Arizona State Senate Majority Leader Janae Shamp described Hobbs’ veto as “politically motivated” and “utterly insane,” accusing her of obstructing efforts to protect citizens from external threats.
In her defense, Hobbs argued that the bill, S.B. 1109, was “ineffective at counter-espionage” and did not provide direct protection for American military installations within the state.
“Governor Hobbs’s veto of SB 1109 effectively sends a message that Arizona is open for business with the CCP, permitting Communist China to acquire land near vital assets like Luke Air Force Base, the Palo Verde nuclear power plant, and Taiwan Semiconductor’s expanding operations,” stated Michael Lucci, CEO and founder of State Armor Action, a conservative organization focused on developing state-level responses to global security challenges.
Is this not worthy of investigation?
Katie Hobbs needs to be investigated, YESTERDAY, for ties to China.

Katie Hobbs vetoes a bill preventing China from buying land near military bases.
Now, why do you think she would be okay with China owning land next to one of our military bases? pic.twitter.com/LnzWtg7QOo

Katie Hobbs is a DISGRACE to Arizona.
This is an issue that anyone who wants to protect America from the CCP can easily get behind.
Looks like we know where her loyalty lies! pic.twitter.com/6QdHJ8plWt

It begs the question: should she not be scrutinized? After all, former President Trump faced an avalanche of scrutiny over alleged connections to Russia. What will the media label this situation?
