Arlo Willner, the 20-year-old son of late-night TV legend Hal Willner, made an appearance in a Manhattan court on Thursday with a noticeable black eye. Willner, dressed in a dark suit and tie, accompanied by his mother Sheila Rogers, a renowned Emmy Award-winning producer known for her work with David Letterman and James Corden.

During the court hearing, Willner remained silent as prosecutors disclosed their plans to present the case to a grand jury on June 10. The attempted murder charges stem from a bar brawl at Sally’s Bar in Kip’s Bay, where Willner allegedly slashed three men in the early hours of a Saturday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, the altercation began when Willner approached the men and requested to buy cocaine. When they refused and told him it was not the appropriate place, Willner reportedly brandished a knife and attacked all three men, resulting in one victim sustaining a neck wound.

Willner was arraigned on charges of attempted murder and assault, to which he pleaded not guilty. He was released on bail set at $100,000 cash or a $200,000 bond following the arraignment. Willner and his mother declined to comment as they exited the courtroom.

Hal Willner, Arlo’s late father, was a respected music coordinator for “Saturday Night Live” before his passing in April 2020 due to COVID-related complications. Arlo’s birth in 2004 was previously acknowledged by The Post.

The case involving Arlo Willner’s alleged involvement in the bar brawl and slashing incident is set to continue, with a court date scheduled for July 17. The family’s high-profile background adds a layer of intrigue to the legal proceedings surrounding the young man’s actions.
